DryFX™ is a continuous pre-drying technology designed to maximize efficiency and lower operating costs.

Integrated seamlessly with our CarbonFX™ and CarbonFX-HT™ systems, it reclaims excess heat from the torrefaction or carbonization process to dry biomass effectively and sustainably.

DryFX™ can process biomass with a wide range of particle sizes and moisture levels while maintaining a consistent and high quality drying performance. It operates reliably in any climate, from –30 °C to +40 °C.

The system is designed for both indoor and outdoor installation, requires very little maintenance, and offers an energy efficient operation that makes it a smart choice for large scale biomass processing.

The DryFX™ process explained

The DryFX™ in-line pneumatic dryer reduces the moisture content of incoming biomass by circulating it through a continuous, pneumatically conveyed loop. Using reclaimed heat from the CarbonFX™ or CarbonFX-HT™ units, the system delivers an optimal residence time to bring the feedstock to its ideal moisture level. This efficient, integrated drying step ensures consistent feed quality and maximizes overall process performance.
