Nomination: Airex Energy Welcomes Jan-Martin LeBlanc as Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel
Airex Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jan-Martin Leblanc as Vice President, Legal Affairs and General counsel. With an impressive background that bridges both law and engineering, Jan-Martin brings to Airex Energy strategic expertise that will be instrumental in supporting the company’s project development and growth.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal, Jan-Martin has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2008. This dual academic foundation, combining technical and legal disciplines, gives him a deep understanding of the industrial, regulatory, and commercial issues that shape the clean technology sector, making him an invaluable asset to Airex Energy.
Before joining Airex Energy, Jan-Martin held a leadership role at Enerkem, where he oversaw the company’s technology licensing and intellectual property activities. In that capacity, he led the negotiation of complex agreements related to technology licensing, industrial partnerships, and joint development projects, while driving strategies for protecting and leveraging proprietary know-how. His earlier experience at leading Canadian law firms — McCarthy Tétrault, Heenan Blaikie, and Fraser Milner Casgrain — also enabled him to develop expertise in business law and in legal aspects of industrial projects.
“With his unique combination of legal and engineering expertise, Jan-Martin will play a key role in strengthening Airex Energy’s governance, risk management, and contractual strategy, while supporting our ambitions for sustainable growth.” – Michel Gagnon, CEO of Airex Energy.Airex Energy
