Our Story

Founded in 2014, Airex Energy began with the ambition of turning biomass residues into valuable products that replace polluting materials without compromising industrial performance.

We started by developing our patented CarbonFX™ torrefaction technology, helping coal-fired power plants transition to renewable energy while leveraging their existing infrastructure. This innovation led us to open the world’s first industrial-scale torrefied pellet plant.

And we kept innovating. Building on our expertise in biomass conversion, we developed a new technology to transform large volumes of biomass residues into a variety of advanced carbon products tailored to the needs of industries such as agriculture, metallurgy, mining, water treatment and more. Today, our technologies are licensed worldwide, supporting clients across the globe in transforming their biomass resources into Biocoal, Biochar and Biocarbon.

At our core, we are engineers and problem solvers. We work hand in hand with our clients, sharing our expertise and providing an honest assessment of every project to design solutions that perform in the real world.
